Tamara Eklof is a seasoned educator, multilingual education consultant, and district leader with a rich background spanning classroom teaching, school leadership, and district-level coordination. She has served as an English Learner (EL) teacher in New York City, principal of a 1,200-student high school, and currently serves as the District Coordinator of Multilingual Programs and Federal Grant Programs in Vermont.
Growing up in a multilingual and multicultural household, Tamara understands firsthand the value of inclusive education and the importance of fostering a strong sense of belonging in schools. She believes that high-quality instruction and community connection are essential for all students to grow and succeed.
Tamara holds a Curriculum Director License and a New York City Superintendent Certificate, and she is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Vermont.
As a consultant, Tamara provides expert guidance to school districts on English Learner program evaluation, strategic goal-setting, and the development and implementation of equity-focused policies and procedures.
